A Rosy-sunny nursery
It’s a girl! Well, yes we did a pink wall – but with a little twist! Rather than painting one accent wall, I chose to create a feature half wall leading all around the room. But the little girl how plays and sleeps here is also such a little sunshine and mini lioness, I wanted to bring some bright fun elements into the room. So aside from yellow accents in form of toys, storage bins and the crib sheet, I painted a yellow arch behind the crib and then dotted some polka dots along the opposing wall for cohesion and visual balance without being to matchy-matchy. The rest of the room is kept muted and neutral in lots of warm whites, cremes and light grays. This allows the color accents to take center stage.
When I then found these adorable cloud shelves an addition to the theme emerged and I added some rain drops (simply printed on a home laser printer, then cut out and glued to the wall using stencil adhesive). And where there is sun and rain, well there is a rainbow!
Because this little girl is a Rainbow with an extra color!
