An artsy office
This was an unusual master bedroom! With many irregular rooflines, and multiple weird nooks and corners, I quickly knew I needed to created some clever zoning while keeping it as one space that feels cohesive and effortless. Apart from some clever furniture positioning, I used paint to add layers and textures that would play with the architectural quirks rather than tried to hide them. The result: a half wall turns half arch, a stenciled accent wall that also functions as a backdrop for zoom calls, and a cosy work nook accentuated by a mid mod inspired arch.
And while I kept the color palette deliberately monochromatic so that the beautiful hickory flooring would get center stage, I made sure the wall hangings and patterns created a warm coziness this master bedroom deserved.
