Bedroom meets Home Office

Home  /  Bedroom meets Home Office

an Office to relax

This room had to pull some serious double shifts (no pun intended). From the home office to the guest bedroom, this room needed to feel right for both purposes. I chose a very bright and airy look that feels inspiring yet relaxed. All while adding ample opportunity to have zoom meetings and coffee breaks.

I created three distinct areas. A cozy seating nook nestled between the windows, where either guests or the home-office owner can withdraw and relax. The office uses a slatted walnut wall for visual separation and a way to bring nature inside. And last but not least, the bed got grounded using the same warm walnut as the slats. I also anchored it with an arched wall bump-out, which doubles as a ledge for art and decor to be displayed.

And for a little hint of whimsy and fun (so none of this gets too serious), I added this large fabric chandelier which casts these beautiful soft shadows all around the room at night.
