A japandi main suite
In this Japandi meets Mid-Century Modern first floor of a New England townhome we married warm cream tones with black and white accents for a simple yet sophisticated look. The custom refurbished yellow piano and the little kids’ swing at the center of the space bring a unique touch of whimsy into the room while acting as a divider and anchor to the otherwise open space – inviting you to converge and connect.
We then covered the entire floor in a modern take on the herringbone pattern in white-washed oak. Together with the cream tones of the walls and kitchen cabinets, this creates a warmness that is still bright and airy.
At the far corner of the space and just off the large black kitchen island we’ve added a custom banquette and two oval/round tables for even more places to gather and entertain at the modern fireplace.
