A European Bathroom

Home  /  A European Bathroom

an Arched oasis

Why stay inside a box when you can arch it?! Filled with unique elements and finishes, this European-style open-concept bathroom features his and her’s vanities and an open walk-in wet room that allows for a spa-like shower and tub combination.
With tons of natural light flooding the room, I wanted to maximize using said light for the vanity mirrors. (For those moments when you want to get that beard line just right – or try out a new lipstick?!) So I placed the vanities on separate walls between windows. And instead of classic vanity lights overhead, I used LED pendants that come down to head height (much more ideal for make-up and any other kind of daily styling).
The walls and arches are treated with Tadelakt – a natural lime-based plaster that once sealed is just as durable but way easier to clean than any tile or stone. With it being seamless it also allowed for the gorgeous patterned floor tiles as well as any of the architectural elements to take center stage.
