Coral Dreams + Playtime
It all started with puppies! Pink Wallpaper puppies to be precise. I knew I wanted to give this little girl’s room layers of patterns and textures and started it on the ceiling. After finding this gorgeous wallpaper we set out to match colors and fabric choices, including a reprint of the wallpaper pattern using fabric to make custom pillows.
I am such a fan of color-blocking walls and I especially love doing it in kids’ spaces. It gives a room a different sense of height and proportion. One that is much more appropriate for tiny humans and their natural line of sight. Putting color on the lower half of the wall makes the space feel custom to them. Almost like a room within a room. All which creates cozy warmth through vertical definition of the space. And as a nice bonus, it created a visual balance with the wallpapered ceiling. But my favorite element will always be the Rattan Ball Chair. It is just the best spot in the house to snuggle up, and I want one for myself now!
